If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
Synopsis: A father expresses his emotions regarding the miscarriage of his unborn child. A deeper look is taken into the unknowns.
The intent was to hover your brother with a sibling
Should of been thrilling, but turned out to be prickling
A little later, your sister came and made it more fulfilling
But I couldn't shake the thought, even if I was willing

I saw the procedure; since then, it's been some weight
For a moment there existed a change in mental state
Like, I was about to crash; the plane's losing altitude
Trying to control it by exercising simple gratitude

It's another reason to exercise this ink-filled utensil
It's chilling to think about all your future potential
Could you have changed the world? Am I being generous?
All the beautiful times that you could have rendered us

Make no mistake regarding your two siblings; I am proud
But with you, I allowed my heart to be plowed
To each their own; for me, it's wear and tear
Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional; still I bear
