If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
Synopsis: Divorce can be tricky, but even more so when one party takes advantage of playing the victim. A mirror comes in handy in this predicament.
Your outlook on life was one I simply couldn't acquaint
On that note, I understand I was far from a saint
But like Bob Buford, my life has entered Half-Time
I'm past fine, but you should Google the last line

Cultural Christianity was something you passed as casual
That's part of the reason our deterioration was gradual
Iron is supposed to sharpen iron; you earned, I earned
Consumerism took hold of you; it was late when I learned

We didn't discuss matters that matter; lack of communication
That's not a justification for how we ended that situation
The same diamond looks different from different angles
You never left a vacancy; complacency had me strangled

Orange you glad I'm leaving the county?; farewell to the O
Moving closer to home would put me in an elevated flow
We both lost since you and I both encompass beauty
While weatherproofing home, you were weatherproofing yours, truly
