Foster Care Secrets

Synopsis: The foster care nightmares experienced by Marckie are shared by so many. This is only one account.
Snatched away from you; all was left was a crying me
I guess that was the birth of my separation anxiety
Milagros and Paul; are these my new parents?
First dinner with them entailed rice, peas, and carrots
Once with his mouth, Paul blew up a bike inner tube
Observing in awe, I concluded he was "that dude"
Sooner than later, I woke up crying in a dark room
Somehow tied to a fixed object; hopefully morning starts soon
This ongoing treatment was never explained
With my innocence now stained, things remained deranged
Milagros never helped, as Paul abused with brute strength
Blood was part of the scene as I pondered escape to great lengths
The final straw occurred one day while in class
It hurt to sit at my desk; the alert went out, at last
Any abuse of a child is nothing short or ruinous
Remember that karma never fails if you're guilty of doing this
