If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
Synopsis: This writing shows the stress that a man faces to financially take care of his family. It also shows the unfortunate selfishness of his working spouse when he needed help.
Pardon me, but this is the ideal time to express my distress
You can't interrupt me now, as I address the money mess
I kept the house running and overcame all applied press
Even did more than that, but that's bee another writing quest

Work slowed one week; I asked, "Can you buy this week's food?"
You're working and not paying bills, so why the attitude?
Same weekend at Universal, you treated me some type of way
My memory is an asset; I vividly remember that day

I recall the Progress Energy bill you promised to cover
No progress made as my energy's beginning to suffer
Just two of many examples, but the worst was this one thing:
I got us a house, then you wondered when I'll buy you something

They say: The more one does, the less he is appreciated
Had I put my foot down, it would of been immediately mediated
Nevertheless, I guess it's another beautiful lesson for my mental
Even if I could, wouldn't return my past like a rental
