Smell of Crack Smoke

Synopsis: A child is trying to figure out what is that unwelcome smell. It's at home and in the street.
At first, I tried to figure out what's that distinct smell
It may spell danger, that's what my instinct tells
Sometimes faint, but sometimes the intensity swells
All I know is to my nostrils, it doesn't dare well
Walking up the block, I can smell it in the street
Coming from areas where people act real discrete
Following some time, the same people acting out of pocket
Weird mannerisms; not even cool for us to mock it
Coming from outside, I walked inside the apartment
Sense of smell was typical, until something odd alarmed it
Same smell from the street began to invade my nose
A discovery was made that caused my anxiety to grow
You were normal; don't want to lose you to that invasion
Seems so easy for people to fall into that persuasion
The normalcy that was once intact broke
Later, I found out that it was due to crack smoke
