Poetry by Marckie-Rhyming Free Verse Poetry-Landscape Phone
If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
With a face so symmetrical without feeling the need to boast
You brought the most to the screen; time to raise a toast
That smile hit the world and it was like a shockwave
Thanks to your parents, especially for what your mom gave

Your role in the Pelican Brief took me over immensely
I couldn't tell if it was you or Erin Brockovich, incidentally
Sleeping with the Enemy took acting to the root
And for what you did in Charlie Wilson's War, I salute

What I most respect is how you move in life with grace
I get your privacy; you're a star who needs her space
Maybe you don't want to be blinded by being in the spotlight
If I wasn't impacted, these words I would not write

Contributions to UNICEF; for a better world, you're aboard
You're an asset, without people like you, we can't afford
We escape the world through your art; you're the cushion
Movies classed as masterpieces; forever that Pretty Woman
