Poetry by Marckie-Rhyming Free Verse Poetry-Landscape Phone
If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
I remember when I first heard that shit on the radio
Immediate thoughts were, that's my new baby, yo
Then I saw your face and your skin had a crazy glow
While taking in your debut, my only goal was to stay afloat

My lady and I soaked in your voice off two 12s
Eventually, your album was only found on few shelves
Friends thought I was turning soft and in danger
Problem was, they couldn't understand your gangster

Coming from research, you come from humble beginnings
Now, everything you touch, you seem to always be winning
Your elegance and poise resemble your land of Canada
And turns every listener into a loyal fan of ya

The music you've blessed us with, we're forever attached
Let us not forget your character, which remains unmatched
For those who think otherwise, my response: "You're absurd"
Who else had the world screaming, "I'm like a bird!"
