Synopsis: Who can ever forget 9/11 and the destruction caused that day? The victims will forever be in our prayers.
Four flights take off on a bright and sunny morning
Without a glitch they ascend; engines steady roaring
Same planes change directions in which they are soaring
It wouldn't be long before the country is mourning
Back in lower Manhattan the day started normal
Employees rushing to work with most dressed formal
At the Pentagon it was a regular weekday scene
Uniforms back and forth commence to working as a team
Two of the four planes head to New York and strike the towers
Jump or burn to death; the decision of their final hour
The World Trade collapses within a short time lapse
Third and fourth planes have passengers feeling trapped
Number three hits the Pentagon; the day has turned black
Target missed for the fourth; thank heroes on board for that
Sadness could not be measured on that gloomy day in September
Forever heroes, those men and women will always be remembered
