Poetry by Marckie-Rhyming Free Verse Poetry-Landscape Phone
If you're reading on your phone, hold it in the landscape position to maintain the format of the poem.
Synopsis: A store manager and customer service representative battle the development of romantic chemistry. One is married, while the other is not.
That ring on your finger tells me it's a no-no
Your husband would ultimately be hit with a low blow
For me, this scene is something out the ordinary
The signs are there, but we gotta remain cautionary

Like William James, you were craving to be appreciated
Caused by the way he was behaving; you felt depreciated
You deemed my flow to be engraving; we almost deviated
Your vows were worth saving; your pain can be better alleviated

Misty mysticism had me paying attention to every statement
Focused like a laser beam; I couldn't be his replacement
So I trained myself to forget, sort of like selective dementia
Even though you proved to be an obvious differentia

"Winners make it happen", you thought, all the meanwhile
The struggle to keep my distance had me senile
You're gonna get caught; time to put it on the shelf
It's like being a little pregnant; eventually it'll show itself
