Criminal Justice Reform

Synopsis: All over the United States, individuals, along with their families, are suffering due to the many problems in the criminal justice system. Some progress has been made, but we still have a long way to go.
People sitting in jail cells longer than they supposed to
While others sit for less time than the winter snow do
How come people with drug charges sit for more years
than those who sexually abuse children; innocence is tore here
They say you're innocent until proven guilty
So why has the bail game gotten so filthy
Don't get me wrong, some states have done better
But some aren't paying attention to the trend-setters
Probation is designed for failure; I heard a cop say that
One of it's goals is to keep the jails with top game stats
For some states, it's to punish before rehabilitate
I can get it, but there's much more there to mitigate
How about police go through some more psyche testing?
That'll make sure encounters are safer and less pressing
There's nothing new here that was thought of or said
It's just some concepts that may help us get more ahead
