World Without War

Synopsis: A world without war may be too much to ask for. It doesn't hurt to imagine, though.
It's a call to take Earth and better maintain her
A world without war is a world that's saner
Reclaiming her for a population with better lifestyles
Progressive foreign policy equals actions less hostile
I see souls that've been tampered with; it's trivial
Innocence being knocked off over objects material
Serial slayings on CNN while I'm seeing cereal
It's too real; bathe the world in something antibacterial
There's always a better way; for that, I remain firm
Extra terms for worms who shouldn't get another turn
What would happen if people were just a bit more selective?
Maybe less war; you don't have to agree, just my perspective
We all get affected as we're just links in a long chain
Missile campaigns incinerating kids; how do you explain?
Question for leaders who send invasive troops off the sea
Since nothing more lives in you, what does the dead see?
