Synopsis: This writing is a heartfelt apology directed to a past mother-in-law. Forgiveness is optional.
Getting closer to a divine center has me cooperating with nature
So, I apologize; meaning is at its sharpest like a razor
The foundation between your daughter and I was never in place
It was dreadful for me trying to redirect her spending pace

Conflict in her life versus religious belief, a vague theory
I got treated like a human doing, not being; I grew weary
Miles taken with my 12 inches; couldn't put my foot down
Resorting to Poison with my stress; now I'm the clown

Maybe you couldn't connect the dots the way you were confined
I'm betting the whole story wasn't told, which I find asinine
My apology to you; I wasn't a ditto-headed yesman
But, I will never accept being treated as less than

You've always meant well; it's telling in your life of service
Two paths, but we actually serve a similar purpose
On the surface, you might of thought my spirit was frail
Had you dug deeper, the truth would of been unveiled
